Rofgo-Collection - Zeitart - Section 2 - Lola »
Lola was a British manufacturer who built racing cars till 2012. The company's founder was the British engineer Eric Broadley.
He borrowed the name of his company from a popular 1950s hit with the title: "Whatever Lola wants Lola gets", sung by Gwen Verdon in the musical "Damn Yankees". Since 1958 racing cars for the Formula 1, Formula 2 and Formula 3000 were manufactured with varying levels of success and interruptions. After the turn of the millenium, Lola mainly built sports cars for the 24-hours races in Le Mans and the American Le Mans Series.
A T70 Coupe MK 3B and a T70 MK2 Spyder are part of the current Rofgo-collection.
