Class winners - Section Aston Martin »
In the beginning of 1913 the entrepreneur Lionel Walker Birch Martin, together with the engineer Robert Bamford, founded a sale for Singer automobiles in London. Because the two passionate racing pilots were unable to achieve their desired results with these vehicles, they decided to produce vehicles themselves under the name Aston Martin that were fit for racing.
In the fickle history, including various owners and headquarters, the brand achieved a total of three class victories in the Mille Miglia between 1935 and 1953.
