Addendum to Retrospective Ferencz Oliver
Category: EventsBy: Ferencz Olivier
As already announced in my last article on the exhibition in the Dogana Veneta, I would like to post a few short lines and pictures on this topic.
Meanwhile October has come and in the declining temperatures I delight in remembering the beautiful time in the summer of 2013, my journey to Italy and my exhibition in Lazise.
For a whole month I could exhibit a retrospective of my works in the small harbour town at Lake Garda between 30th July and 30th August 2013.
Lazise is a beautiful village with almost 7000 inhabitants. A magnet for tourists is the pictoresque centre around the Piazzetta Partenio with its ancient fishing harbour. It is still imaginable today how Venetian galleys in the 14th century anchored at the old custom station Dogana Veneta.
Since the complex replacements in 2003 the Dogana Veneta offers a felicitous mixture of ancient building fabric and modern elements that provide functionality as a cultural and event centre on 800 square metres.
There, in two big rooms with a view on Lake Garda, I was able to present a vast spectrum of my works from the categories Logoart, Einzigart, Zeitart and Eigenart to an international audience.
Throughout the whole time I have repeatedly had interesting conversations with visitors on art and "la dolce vita" and was able to establish good contacts.
To put it into a nutshell: I assess my journey to Italy entirely positively and can already say that it has certainly not been the last one. As it is so nicely said in Italian:"Amor vecchio no fa ruggine." (Old love never dies.).
